Code of Conduct
TBHSA is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all. Compliance with this Code of Conduct is required at all events.

Enforcement
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, elimination, removal from the grounds, suspension of privileges, or other action as determined by the judge, show management, or the TBHSA Board.
Code of Conduct
TBHSA is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all. Compliance with this Code of Conduct is required at all events.
1. Sportsmanship
- Language: Profanity, abusive language, or inappropriate or unsafe behavior is not permitted.
- Schooling and Ring Etiquette: Number of riders is limited for safety; riders must share space responsibly. Comply with ring steward instructions.
- Timeliness: Be on time for classes. Notify the ring steward if you have a conflict. The schedule may change at show management’s discretion.
- Judges & Officials: Judges’ decisions are final and must be respected.
2. Horse Welfare
- Abuse: Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Fitness: Lame, unfit, or overexerted horses may be excused at the discretion of the judge or show management.
3. Care of Grounds
- Bathrooms: Use respectfully and leave clean.
- Waste: No littering. Clean up after your horse.
- Grounds: Respect TBHSA property. Individuals may be held responsible for damage caused by negligent behavior.
4. Attire & Tack
- Helmets: ASTM/SEI‑approved helmets are required for all mounted riders under the age of 18 and all riders over fences (regardless of age) while on the grounds.
- Attire: Safe and neat attire appropriate to the discipline is required.
- Tack: Tack must be safe, properly fitted, and appropriate for the discipline. Unsafe tack will be prohibited.
